I transitioned for a 14 months

I went natural because slowly but surely with a perm my hair was thinning out and I was not confident in my hair. I really wanted to embrace my natural hair because I knew there was a better chance of it getting back to a healthy state. I also just love the way natural hair looks! 

I have been “officially” natural for about 4 months now

I am just getting into a real hair regimen now washing weekly and doing a deep conditioning treatment. I do a twist out and nightly twist my hair before going to sleep. I co-wash my hair every two weeks. I use Kuza 100% Indian Hemp treatment; Olive oil, carrot oil, Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie and Miss Jessies Curly Pudding

I love the compliments! It feels good when people recognize that my hair looks nice and its actually mine! I dislike that natural hair is such a trial and error process and sometime styles do not turn out as planned lol

My natural hair inspirations are Solange, YaYa, Corrine Bailey Rae, Janelle Monae and so many of my beautiful natural hair friends =]
